The Soft Water Filter converts unnecessary calcium and magnesium into sodium through ion exchange.
It is very simple to use: you connect the Soft Water Filter to the garden hose and slowly fill the hot tub. The SpaBalancer Soft Water Filter is sufficient for a flow of up to 30,000 litres of water.
Important notice after use: in order for the Soft Water Filter to maintain its long-term functionality, it must not dry out. When not in use, close it with the end caps. When reusing, pour the first litres down the drain, they may be coloured.
Water problem:
Sandy or chalky coating
Cause: limestone
Solution:
1. To remove the coating, lower the pH of the water to about 5.0 using pH Minus pH reducing granules. In one to two days, the water will again dissolve and absorb the limestone. Then raise the pH again to 7.0 using pH Plus granules available in shops. Observe the following without fail: only increase and decrease the pH value in small steps.

2. To prevent further leaching of limestone, add SpaBalancer – a water softener in a bottle – to the water.
3. If the water is very hard, fill the hot tub with SpaBalancer Water Softener.
