We know two types of filters:

filter with a hole through (check only steps 1 and 2)
filter with thread (necessary to process all steps)

1. How to measure filter height

Filter height is mainly to know how long should be your new filter. We recommend to put to your device filter long as much as possible. Mainly it must be at least 2-3cm under water level to reach full functionality.

2. How to measure filter diameter with hole diameter

The diameter of the filter tells us how wide the filter should be. In addition, we need one more piece of information and that is the diameter of the hole where the filter is installed. Based on this information, we will recommend a larger filter diameter, if it is possible and necessary.

3. How to measure thread length and rotations

Using this information, we can calculate how many revolutions are needed and the number of thread steps, the width of the thread step, etc.

4. How to measure thread diameter

Using this information, we can calculate how wide the thread is and how wide the rib of the thread is.

2. Choose correct filter

To pick best filter for you is mainly about to get biggest possible filter for your device. Please check next steps.

1. Measure chamber (diameter), where is filter installed in device

To get best possible filter, we need to know diameter of hole where original filter is installed. It is mainly because of efficency of filtration and mainly for comfort of cleaning and refilling filter with filtration medium.

For example: Your original filter has diameter 125mm. Chamber in your device, where is installed filter has diameter 145mm, so we can put there instead of 125mm diameter -> 135mm filter. Bigger filter adds more filtration medium balls inside of filter and better comfort for cleaning.

2. Middle filter suction diameter

This step is mainly for continues hole filters. When device has filter where is not possible to pick bigger filter, so we can make smaller middle suction part for better comfort of cleaning.

For example you have 125mm filter diameter and chamber in device, where is filter installed has only 135mm diameter, we cannot put there 135mm filter diameter. In this case we can make slightly smaller middle suction part. For example from 55mm to 45mm (here first 3 cm of part will be with 55mm diameter)
