Error E90 in the whirlpool: what it means and how to solve it

Error code E90 is a common report that hot tub owners may encounter and usually indicates a water circulation problem. This code can be caused by several factors, from filter clogs to pump problems. Let’s take a closer look at the causes of this error code and ways to effectively fix the problem.

Causes of the E90 error

  1. Clogged filter: the most common cause of an E90 error code is a clogged or dirty filter. If the filter is unable to pass water properly, this can lead to poor circulation and activation of the error code. (ROYAL FILTER PROBLEM SOLUTION)
  2. Pump problems: another possible cause could be a malfunctioning pump or problems with the pump connection. If the pump is not pumping water properly, the whirlpool may detect the problem and generate an E90 error code.
  3. Air Plug: An air plug in the system can also cause the pump to not pump water efficiently, resulting in an error code.

Solving the problem

  1. Checking and cleaning the filter: the first step in solving an E90 error is to check and thoroughly clean the filter. Remove the filter from the whirlpool and rinse it under running water. If the filter is too dirty or damaged, consider replacing it.
  2. Pump check: check that the pump is connected correctly and shows no signs of damage. If you suspect a problem with the pump, it may be necessary to contact a service technician.
  3. Removing air plugs: if the cause of the problem is an air plug, try to remove it by turning on the pump for a few seconds to push the air out of the system.
  4. System reset: In some cases, a system reset may help. Unplug the hot tub from the mains for a few minutes and then plug it back in.

If these steps do not resolve the E90 error code problem, it is best to contact the manufacturer or a professional service technician who can provide an expert solution and the necessary maintenance. It is important not to ignore the problem to prevent further potential damage to your hot tub.
